I'm sure this has been asked but I wasn't able to find it using search SO... our trip this July will be staying BWI concierge level for our 15 yr anniversary. It'll be myself, DH, my DSis, and our 2 DS's (8 & 11 at time of trip). We ALWAYS have 1 cs and 1 ts a day so I was thinking that the DDP would be a good deal. The boys both EAT and are pretty adventurous for their ages. DH doesn't think it'll be worth getting the dining plan - he think it'll cost us more in the long run. What are your opinions? Has anyone done the DDP while on the concierge level. I know we can get snacks and breakfast in the lounge but I still think it'd be worthwhile. I know I can punch the numbers but getting everyone to look at menus and trying to pick what they'd get might kill me.

While CL is nice and provides some snacks, beverages and a quick continental breakfast, I doubt you would be paying any less for your meals as a result of it--it does not replace the need to eat totally. That said, If you are going to be hanging around the resort a ton and not going into the parks it may be better to pay OOP for a TS meal each day. If you are going to be in the parks I doubt you'd head back to the CL to get a snack and then return to the park--it just isn't practical. If you eat at one TS per day the DDP should be a break even if you do a CS as well you will come out ahead. Add the snack which can be used for bottled water as well, and it is less expensive than paying OOP for each component. We used the DDP last year while at WL CL. We were glad we did--Cl is great for a quick continental breakfast, if you return int he mid day to grab a cold drink and maybe a cookie. Evening offerings were nice, but some people do abuse the lounge (so let's say the cheesewheel looting lady is staying at BWI this year you will miss out on it since she will take it back to her room!:scared1: ) It is good for a nice glass of wine before dinner, but the offereings do not replace dinner at all.
