DDP w/split stay?

maybe someone can help me w/this convoluted question...i thought i'd try the experts here before contacting MS...

we currently have a trip scheduled from JUN 9-JUN 18 2008. however, b/c of room availability (or lack thereof) we currently have 2 separate ressies. (1) OKW from JUN 9-JUN 12 and (2) BWV from JUN 12-JUN 18. i would like to purchase the dining plan for the 2nd ressie only (6 days). i currently can do that, right? BUT.....here's the bigger question. we are on a waiting list for BWV for those first 3 days (JUN 9-JUN 12). if we purchase the DDP for the last 6 days, then have our wait list come through, will the first 3 days be combined w/the last 6, and will we subsequently be automatically charged for the DDP for those first 3 days?

if anyone has had any experiences with this type of situation, your insight would be much appreciated...

If you end up with BWV for the entire stay then you will have to purchase the DDP for the entire stay as it will be considered combined stay. The DDP must be purchased for all occupants of the room as well.

If they combine the resservation than yes the DDP would be for the entire stay. But if you lock in two separate reservations than the DDP would not have to be added. But the only downfall to that plan is that you may have to change rooms since it would be considered two separate stays, check out than back in again.

Last year we had the DDP and later on in the week my in-laws came down. I split my reservation so I wouldn't have to foot the bill for them on the DDP. So the last part of the week we did not have the DDP but we did have to give up a beautiful boardwalk view room for a prefferred Luna pool view.

thanks guys...turns out it was a moot question - when i got home yesterday i had my modified ressie in the mail. the waitlist came through and they've added the 1st 3 days to the last 6, all at BWV. looks like we'll be using the old DDE card afterall!
