DDP versus DVC Discounts (are there any?)

We are going in March (BWV), and were trying to decide on whether or not to use the DDP. We'll probably do at least 4 TS meals during a 5 night stay even without the DDP. Are there any DVC dining discounts? Is there a list somewhere of those, if they exist?

We used the DDE in the past, but can't get it this time without getting another AP which probably doesn't make sense for us this time. Otherwise, DDE would be ideal, I think. Frankly, our biggest concern with using DDP is overeating. Several of us in the group don't need to be doing that!

If you are doing planning 4TS meals, the DDP would definitley make sense. Remember it includes tax and 18% tip, so that should take care of most of the $38 pp right there. Plus yuo get a counter service meal pp per day (including appetizer, drink & dessert!), and a snack! As far as avoiding overeating... I can't help you with that one, I would likely be overeating on DDP too!

As far as dining discounts for DVC members there are a quite a few, but they are typically only 10%.

Thanks for the replies. I found this page on the DVC member site (navigate there via "Just for Members" > "Member Perks" > "Walt Disney World" > "Dining"). Member services actually had to guide me there. It looks like there are really not that many discounts, compared to the number of restaurants. The only one on our list of 4 TS places was Raglan Road. It is also the least restrictive, at least, in that it looks like it can be used for lunch and dinner. Most appear to only be for lunch.

We did not over eat with the DDP, think of it is as a buffet. You are prepaying for food that you won't eat all of it. You still save money if you do many TS at nice places.

We had salads for our appetizers and bypassed a few desserts or got them to go. We gained no weight at all.
