DDP through rented DVC

I did a search for what I'm wondering about, but didn't come up w/ anything answering my question.
So, here it is...we are renting points from a DVC member for our upcoming trip. We also added the DDP through him. My understanding was that the DDP corresponded w/ the number of nights you are staying and not w/ the number of days your tickets are for. Is this correct? If so, then we should be getting 5 nights worth of DDP, right? But w/ the amount quoted to us by the guy we are renting from, it is coming out cheaper than we expected. So, do DVC members get the DDP cheaper? Is that why?
If not, guess I need to call the number he sent me and check out what's going on! TIA!:)

If you are staying 5 nights, then you will get 5 TS, 5 CS, and 5 snacks for each person in your party. The cost will be $39.95/day/person. If you have children under the age of 10, it is less (sorry, I don't know that price). Remember that does NOT include your ticket media. You are responsible for buying that on your own.

I think the price is $10 or $11 for kids under 10. I rented DVC last summer and added the DDP, I really enjoyed it!

For dates before 01/01/2008 I belive the Adult rate is $38.99 per person per day, while the Child rate remains $10.99 per child/day.

My guesses are:

1) Part of your vacation is in 2008, and MS can not yet book the DDP for 2008 as the new rates and program changes have not yet been finalized.

2) The Owner you are renting from, made your reservation in two or more parts, and did not link them, thus you have the dining plan for only part of your stay. (Applies to 2007 vacation only).

3) Otherwise there is a problem, call your renter at once!

TTFN!

Thanks for your responses! Our entire stay is 12/9-14/07, so it's before 2008. We have 5 people on the DDP in all...4 adults and 1 child, and we were quoted a little over $750 for the entire plan...and from my calculations that's too low...so, guess I'll just have to call and figure out what's happened. Thanks again!

How old is the child? Four adults for five days would be $779.80. If the child is under three, you don't need to pay for the plan for them.

Also, what type of villa are you in? Studios and one-bedrooms have a limit of four persons (plus a child in a crib). Unless you're in a two-bedroom or larger (or the child is under 3), the dining plan cost may be an indicator of a bigger problem.

We booked five in our one bedroom on the DDP with no trouble in May.:goodvibes

We haven't called yet, but after talking to my DH, it does seem that they simply didn't add my DD to the DDP. She'll be three when we go, and she'll definitely need the plan, too.
Also, we are staying in a 2 Bdrm Villa at OKW.
