DDP Question

We are going to Disney for free dining, but we have one meal we will have to pay for out of pocket. We are planning on paying for breakfast at Chef Mickeys the last day OOP. I had an idea though, but I am not sure if it will work. We are also eating at Sci-Fi. I was wondering if my husband could use the DDP on his meal. Then me and my son will order and pay OOP for our meals. I will just get the BLT soup ($5.99)and share his appetizer/dessert and my son will get a meal for $7.50. Then at Chef Mickey's we will only have to pay for my husband OOP. Does that make sense?? Can you do that??

Yes, you can do that. Just tell the server that DH will use DDP and that you and son will pay OOP.

Yes, my friend did something like that before on a WDW trip! You do not have to use all of your TS/CS at the same time!

We have Chef Mickey's breakfast on our list as well. I have found that it is about the cheapest TS for us to pay OOP for. You have the advantage of it being your last meal and you never know, at some point you may skip a meal and OOP is a moot point. I would simply eat as I pleased knowing that I will pay the least by paying OOP for Chef Mickey's.

The one caveat is the child's meal. If would pay OOP for one of the $7.49 meals at another TS as children's buffets are the most expensive meals to pay for (but best deal on the plan).
