My family and I will be traveling to Disney in September have the DDP. We will be traveling with my DS (6) and DD (3). We have done the DDP before, but this is the first year that my daughter will get her own dining credits. If we are having a TS meal (not a buffet) does my DD have to use her TS credit, or can she just share our meals? I am not trying to be cheap, but there is no way that the four of us could eat all of our appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I would rather not waste the food. Also, do appetizers and desserts come with a childs TS? Thanks in advance for your help.

You'll only be charged Dining Plan credits for meals you order, except at buffets, pre-plated meals, character meals, and other prix fixe options, all of which will charge Dining Plan credits regardless of how much food is ordered.

Note the following rule, though, that limits how you may use the credits that you don't use:

So while you can elect not to use her credit at that meal, you are still obligated to use that credit for a child meal, when you eventually do use that credit.
