Hi -

I just showed my 13 yo dd some of the menus for the restaurants I have booked for our upcoming trip. She doesn't eat red meat, pork or seafood ... so that eliminates alot of options.

She has asked me if she can order an adult appetizer (most likely a cesare or house salad), then choose an entree from the kids menu , and then choose her dessert from the adult menu ?

Would this be OK ?

Thanks :)

The table service restaurants at Disney are VERY accomodating. I can't imagine that it would be a problem for her to have a salad, mac n cheese and dessert. :) They may even bring an "adult" sized portion of the kid's meal for her. Just ask the server and I'd bet you'd be accomodated with no problem. Have fun!

We did this a couple of times on our last trip. It wasn't a problem.

FYI even if it is not on the menu, we have never found a place that couldn't do a plain grilled chicken breast. Last year that was all my DS would order.

Not a problem at all. My GS (12) is such a picky eater, when he orders, he usually modified the meal. No sauce, subsitute mashed potatoes for french fries, corn for the green beans and so on. We also does the a regular appetizer with a kids meal, or modified kids meal. All servers we have encountered will do whatever he wants. Sometimes we use the DDP, sometimes OOP, and there's never any difference in service.
