I have a dilema!! I keep seeing people who do not buy the DDP but yet they budget $100/day for food anyway. This doesn't make sense to me, or maybe I'm understanding it wrong :rolleyes1

We are a family of 4 with a 13 yr old DS and a 3 yr old DD. I just don't know whether it would benefit us or not.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing! LOL

For us it would be 2 adults and 1 child, my DD is 2 so she wouldn't be included.

For your family 3 Adults (since your 13yr old would be adult prices) + 3yr old it would be $127.96/day for the DDP.

I've been scouring the menu's trying to figure out which resturants we'd eat at..and if we'd really be THAT hungry for ALL the food included!

We used the dining plan last year and no one went away hungry. The kids where happy and not bugging for food during the day. We used the table service, for dinner and counter for lunch both include a desert that you could take with you into the park -- unused snacks for the day we used to purchase B'fast food -- like milk, cereal, english muffins, doughnuts -- most things up to $4 value. Per item I saved all my receipts and totaled them when we got home --it was worth it.:yay: :yay: :yay:

We won't go without the DDP. It makes our trip soo much easier on everyone. You do not have to watch what the kids order and budget every meal, ect.. Everything is paid and ready to go and they get to chose their meals, no arguements! NONE of us are ever hungry and the extra snack a day the kids really enjoy!

I'll never go without the DDP again. We like having a TS every day. And it's nice to be able to order anything off the menu and not look at the price. The CS meals always fill us up, whether its for breakfast or lunch. And the snack comes in quite handy. Frankly, we didn't use them very regularly. Other than a Dole Whip or Mickey ice cream bar:mickeybar , we mainly used it for bottle water or soda. We still had some leftover the last day, so we used them on cookies and rice krispy treats to take home. :earboy2:

We weren't going to do the DDP but when I started calculating $$ needed for food each day (plus, we're planning to meet friends for some TS meals) I realized we're better off doing the DDP.
We went last August for free dining. Loved it! But didn't want to do it this time because of the time it consumes with TS. But being there 10 days, I told DH that he and DD's will not want to eat CS every day (twice) for 10 days!
So, I didn't add the DDP to my package yet, but I will before we leave!
