My family and I are going for 4 nights 5 days in Feb/March

touch down at 1030am on Feb 26th = 2 meals
27 = 3 meals
28 = 3 meals
1 = 3 meals
flight is at 730pm on 2nd = 2 meals (assuming we leave WDW at around 5pm, grab dinner at the airport.

We get 4 days x 2 CS meals per person (and two snacks..) which takes care of 8 meals out of 13. Im guessing that of the 5 we need to fend for the 3 breakfasts will be easy grab and go sort of things, perhaps find something that a snack credit will cover.

That leaves 2 uncovered.

I was considering a character breakfast and an Ohana dinner.

Is this too much food? Are three meals unreasonable? My 12yo wants to do Planet Hollywood and we are taking my mother who would go with him. Planet Hollywood needs no reservations IRC right?

Any suggestions on a character breakfast? If it was out of a park then I was thinking Saturday the 2nd, the day we leave, would be best. I cant recall how many park days I got compared to how many days we will be there. I think we did the 5 day MYW which looks like it would cover all the days so maybe it doesnt matter if the breakfast is in a park or not.

I feel a little less overwhelmed than last time when my husband and I went since we had to pick reservations with the DDP we had but I think the freedom of the CS DDP is certainly better for the kids.

Thanks for any help :)

Since you're staying on property with a package, you will get a $15 voucher for Planet Hollywood. No ADR needed. For a character breakfast, the most important consideration is which characters does your son wish to see. If Mickey's a must, then Chef Mickeys or Ohana or my fave, Donald's Safari are your choices. Pooh and friends are at Crystal Palace. Minnie and friends are at Cape May.
Yoiu will have enough snack credits that with PH and a character breakfast, you shouldn't need to buy any meals. I'm a big man, 6'1 and 280, and extra food is never needed. And eating does cut into valuable park time.

planning on eating a light breakfast then two CS meals are not too much. Many of the CS meals, especially with a dessert, are very large. Some of the desserts can be saved for later as a snack.

The last couple of trips we have cut down on TS meals becuase the kids have wanted to spend more time in the parks. (My wife and I are looking forward to changing that.) We usually have something small for breakfast (usually carried to the parks and eaten at rope drop) and carried granola bars or fruit with us in case anyone gets hungry. Some days we do two CS meals and I was not hungry at all - even with all of the walking. There were usually snacks in the evening after fireworks or parades as the crowds thinned out.

For non park character breakfasts you have several choices. Chef Mickey's, Cape May, Ohana and 1900 Park Fare are all outside the parks. We probably do Chef Mickey's more often because of the roster of characters. Ohana and Cape May are both good with Cape May being a little quieter. Cape May can be a little harder to reach in the morning if you're traveling from your resort and it's not in the Epcot resort area.

Thanks!

Niether my husband or I are fans of Planet Hollywood and I think it would be too overwhelming for my MIL and my 3yo. So only my mom and my 12yo would go to that.

Then Ohana for our family dinner and Tusker House for the character breakfast.

Im sort of leaning to not to Ohana but my husband and I loved it so much when we went!
