DDP & Mamma Melrose, Limited Menu?

I have not had the Fantasmic pkg. But I would imagine that the reason why the menu is limited is because there is a limited amount of time that they have to prepare food and serve it so that you can get to Fantasmic on time. It isn't that big of a deal if you have a small party, e.g., 2 people. Larger parties, Fantasmic pkg or not, take longer to serve. Having to handle so many individual orders takes a time if you have to make everything to order. Having a limited menu allows the restaurant to prepare the food ahead of time and then put the fniishing touches on it before they serve it.

Now that I am getting more info, it doesn't sound so bad. I think we'll keep it and go for it. We are stuck with the 4:10 also but I think that would be better than DD standing around in line for 90 minutes to get in.

Glad to hear tiramasu is not the only desert choice!

Thanks, YO

We have done the Fantasmic Pkg every time we have been to Disney. When we have first walked in and sat down it seemed liked a lot of people were waiting in line, however when they let everybody in and there was no more line there were still a lot of seats left! I was thinking of not do the pkg this year since we are not fans of MM or H&V. We were there over July 4th. Has anybody been there when they turned people away? It holds a ton of people.

We ate there last night on the DDP and the Fantasmic DP - we had bread with butter and a sun dried tomato dip thing, the salad with gorgonzola and balsamic vinaigrette, choice of 4 flatbreads (we got the pepperoni, onion and bell pepper - YUM!) and choice of about 6 entrees. DH got the sausage and peppers and I got the charred steak served with asparagus and red pepper polenta. For dessert we had the choice of about 5 different things. I got the tiramisu, because I love it, but I could have had a cheesecake with blood orange sauce (Honey Hazelnut and Ricotta Cheesecake with a blood orange sauce and dollop cream), chocolate decadence type cake with raspberry sauce (Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake filled with chocolate ganache over raspberry sauce, and a pistachio florentine ), gelato, spumoni, or the celeration dessert (Coffee Tartufo - house-made Coffee Ice Cream crusted with Crushed Coffee Beans, Chocolate, Butter Fingers, and Hazelnuts with a Sambuca Anglaise sauce). All were included, but the celebration dessert would have been $2 extra.

DS was able to have the bread, flatbread pizza, anything off the children's menu and dessert. His drink was included...our sodas were not.

It was all very good and having the priority seating at Fantasmic was EXCELLENT!!!

We are on the DP for the first time ever and having a blast with it!

Does anyone know what all of the MM Fantasmic package entrees are? My husband is a vegitarian and I want to make sure there is an option he will like.

slk537,
Why weren't your drinks included? Where those barley pops or what? :teeth: I thought they were always included. :confused3
How did you & DH like your entrees? Those are the 2 that sound the best to me. I'm not much of a desert guy but those sounded good. :thumbsup2

GoofyGolferGirl, That is a good question. Anyone out there able to answer that one?

Thanks, YO
