DDP in DTD/DS or whatever you are calling it now

I am assuming that the restaurants in DTD that take the DDP, you are able to use your magic bands to pay/use your credit? Is this correct?

yup the restaurants in Disney Springs I believe are equipped to handle Magic Bands as well as most of the stores in Disney Springs as well. As always though you should always have some form of backup payment in case the system is down or something. But if that should happened and you do need another form of payment if you get a receipt I believe your disney hotel should reimburse you your money and then just take the credits from the dining plan so no worries. Its just always good to have a back up plan

Yes. The only challenge we've run into is that occasionally a food cart will not accept the DDP or it's system is down. Have never had a problem at a counter service location in 6 trips using the DDP since MBs came into use.

Only time we had a problem was the very first day we had our MBs. I tested it out on our room door and using dining credits at our resort. Both worked so it didn't cross my mind to take another form of payment. Went to purchase a hat for my DD and the payment would not work on my band. I didn't have backup so said I'd put it back and purchase it another day. The CM said, 'That's just fine. Mickey bought you a hat!' and proceeded to take off the tags for us.
