ok here goes my ???
I'm a little confused about planning this but hopefully you guys could help me:thumbsup2 I'm wondeing about the tip ddp 2008. I know it will be 18% for 9. So i need to know how to figure this out before we go. Everyone in the group is giving me the planner 96.00 for tips. We are staying for 7 nights, going to two gathing diners which i know include tips and using 4 ts . The other 3 ts meals we are going to is 50s prime time, ohans, and bomas. Does anyone know have to figure out the tip before we get there. Also do i need to include tax.
please help :grouphug:

For 4 adults, 1 child, I was leaving a minimum of 20.00 per meal.

'Ohana is $26.99 per adult, $12.99 per child for dinner; $18.99/$10.99 for breakfast.
Boma is $25.99/$11.99, or $16.99/$9.99.
The most expensive dinner/dessert/drink combination at 50s Prime Time is $28.98; kids' meals are $7.49.

'Ohana adult tip, dinner = $4.86
'Ohana child tip, dinner = $2.34
'Ohana adult tip, breakfast = $3.42
'Ohana child tip, breakfast = $1.98

Boma adult tip, dinner = $4.68
Boma child tip, dinner = $2.16
Boma adult tip, breakfast = $3.06
Boma child tip, breakfast = $1.80

50s Prime Time tip, adult, maximum = $5.22
50s Prime Time tip, child = $1.35

You don't include the tax when calculating the tip.

Since the tips are included in the price of your two-credit, Grand Gathering meals, I'm not sure why each person is putting in another $96 for tips?

You don't include the tax when calculating the tip.

Is this also true when it's an automatic tip with a party of 6 or more? I'm asking because on most other threads people are posting that they are figuring their tips based on cost of food and tax. Do the restaurants give you the amount of automatic tip based on food before or after taxes?

You are certainly welcome to calculate the tip on the total check (food + tax), and no server is going to argue with you :teeth:

But it's, um, I can't think of the word...customary! to tip on the menu price of the food/drink only.
