I have a question about DDP. My son is VERY picky about food. He will only eat chicken and fries, pizze and hot dogs. Since he is going to be turning 10 prior to our trip I would need to put him on the DDP as an adult. Can he still order from the childs menu?
Thanks in advance for any info.

From what I have read on the Dis for the last few months it seems that it is up to the server to decide. I will be in the same boat in December with my 10 year old DD and just plan to ask if she can order off the kids menu. I have also read that they will sometimes just make an adult portion of "kid food" for your son. Hope I helped. Maybe someone with more DDP plan experience will chime in!

In December, our 11 year old (picky boy) ordered every meal from the kid's menu. He always wanted chicken strips or a peanut butter sandwich and it was never a problem. He could order his dessert off the kid's or adult's menu since he was on the adult plan. None of the servers had a problem with it.

I have a 10 year old DD who I will be having this problem with. I am wondering if I will be allowed to have her order off the kids menu and pay out of pocket for her. She is not at all interested in the adult menus at most our places. To me, it is a huge waste to spend an adult credit if I can pay out of pocket for her kid meal.

Would love to hear if anyone has been able to do this.

Thanks!
