ddp dessert options

We are going to wdw in sept using the ddp. For the cs I know they always seem to have cake of some sort as the dessert. Is there any other options that aren't posted that can be used instead, like fruit, or something that is not the normal posted item? thanks!!

You can ask for fruit or alternate desserts. Selection will vary by restaurant. Some of the signatures will allow guests on DDP to order the cheese selection as their dessert.

I know in resorts we've eaten in (CS) we've never had any trouble getting fruit for dessert.

In the resorts I almost always take a fruit pot as dessert. I usually keep it for the next morning for breakfast. In the parks many CS locations do not have fruit pots, but they do keep whole fruit as healthy alternatives and you simply need to ask. We have also had much success getting a bottle of water in exchange for the desert but it's not a 'rule' and they have no obligation to do so. It never hurts to ask though

We have gotten fruit or an extra bottle of water at many locations.

As already posted CS in resorts then fruit cup no problem. Cs in parks more of an issue. My DD likes ice-cream, chocolate and fruit but no other desserts which more or less counts her out of many park places. However, many park cs offer either fries or carrot sticks/apple slices/apple sauce and we have always been able to get her fries with her meal plus one other as her dessert choice.

And then there are those select CS locations in parks (like Sunshine Seasons and Boulangerie Patisserie) where you can chose from a large selection of dessert items (pastries, cupcakes, baked items, etc.)

I have a 2012 Confirmed Snacks thread that list all known snacks available as a SC. You might check it out since some of the SC items are also available as a dessert choice.

I did not know that you could get fruit or something else instead of the desserts offered. I will have to try that next time we are there!
