DDP deal?

I was just wondering.... I went to WDW last year in August because of the DDP deal.

Do they do it every year around that time? Or was it just last year?

DDP is available year round. If you are referring to free ddp, there is much speculation as to whether it will be available to the general public as it has already been marketed in the UK & as a bounce back.
