DDP & DDE on same meal?

We will be on the dining plan for the first time this August. We also have the Disney dining card (AP holders). If we order items above our dining plan allotment how will the bill be worked out. Will we just get 2 seperate bills one with the tip added (DDE) and one without (dining plan).

You will get two bills - one for the plan and one for off-plan. Present your DDE card for the off-plan bill. You'll get an 18% tip added to that one. If there are more than 5 people in your party, 18% will be added to both bills.

We'll be doing both next May. for asking this. I was wondering the same thing.
