If u buy the Disney dining plan, is it possible to switch the table service meal with quick serve meal? This would help for convinience purposes.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply but this cost split is for one person ? We are family of 4 with 32, 9 yr old..A TS credit is easily worth $35-$50. A QS credit is worth $15-$20. You're losing money if you paid for DDP but get QS meals. Better off either skipping DDP and paying OOP or getting the QSDP instead. IOW's why pay for DDP if it ends up costing you more than OOP?
4 Character dinners = $140. 2 QS dinners = $30. 6 QS lunches = $90.
Snacks = 12 * 5 = $60
Total OOP = $320
DDP plan for 6 days = $453

While I agree with you, your prices are a little low. Character DINNERS are all in the $50 range these days, so 4 of them will be $200. If you then add in the alcoholic drink that comes with DDP even at buffets, that's another $40-50. It's also much easier to hit the $20 range for QS, if you're drinking alcohol at those meals too, so 8 QS meals could be closer to $160. If OP is planning on alcohol at all meals, they will come much closer to the price paid for DDP.
First of all I don't even believe the dining plan saves any money anyway. We pay less each trip paying OOP and we eat at character meals. I figure it out each trip and the dining plan would never save us money.
No alcohol for both of us..Trust me, I am with you in that the dining plans will probably NEVER save my family money, but as Cramden and I show up thread, the addition of alcohol to the plans now makes it very easy for a family of just adults to save money. Even OP's plan to eat a few QS meals can be a cost saver, but ONLY IF you drink alcohol with your meals.
Add in a kid or two, and the adults don't have to drink alcohol to save money, but the savings increases if you do.
No alcohol for both of us..
2A2k - 2 n 9 yr oldHmmm...are you 2A,2K or 3A,1K? Are you paying full price for the dining plan or upgrading from free QSDP? If you're not drinking alcohol and you're paying full price with just one kid, you may need to run the numbers. If you'll tell us where you plan on having those character meals and which meal, we'll help.
