For CS are you primarily limited to sodas as your beverage choice? I have heard that sometimes you can get bottled water, sometimes not. What I really want to know about is unsweet tea. Is unsweet tea available on the plan? I am assuming it is available for TS meals, but can you get it CS?

Yes, unsweet tea is included on the menu to my dh horror. He is a southerner and has never drank it this way in his life.:lmao: Also, at some of the TS resturants we also got the option of fruity smoothy (non alcoholic) drinks. Soda, water are also usually included as well.

That's a relief. Being from the south myself, I said unsweet tea on purpose (because here if you just say tea it is bound to be very very sweet). Thank you so much for replying.

But can you get sweetened tea as well? DH won't drink any unsweetened tea -- it just doesn't "count" for him!

I think one of the only places that is supposed to have true "sweet tea" is Columbia Harbor House in the MK. Other places may have the Lipton flavored/sweetened teas from the soda fountain, like raspberry. I'm looking forward to trying CHH's sweet tea on our next trip--all carbs, all the time, baby!

Can you get the iced mochas at CS for your DDP beverage?

What about getting water with your TS dinner and then having coffee/espresso/cappucino with your dessert? Is that allowed?

For CS, just ask. Usually it's soda/tea/bottle water. I got bottle water at every CS and it was never a problem. BTW, you can get a bottle beverage at the food court at Pop (not sure about others), so DH often gets the bottled tea.

For TS, I usually get water and a smoothie. Remember that smoothies are not refillable (good thing). I've also done water and coffee as my beverage. However, I have found when dining at 2TS, they seem to be a little more relaxed on beverages, as we got the standard beverage (ice tea) at Narcossees, but was still offered coffee with desert.

We are about as southern as you can get (south carolina, hilton head:), and we always ask for unsweet tea--you can always add sugar (DH uses splenda), but unsweet tea is always brewed, not from a mix or concentrate, like a lot of the pre-sweetened ones are....
All of the resorts we have stayed at in the past have offered unsweet tea in their cafes (we get the mugs), this has been a lifesaver, as none of us drink soda, and water gets boring after a while:)
On the subject of included beverages, are non-alcoholic specialty bevvies included? I will be 7 months pregnant when we go in Sept, and so alcohol is out of the question, but I really like the fruit smoothies and the fruit beverages offered at some of the TS restaurants (Japan in particular)...anyone know?

Oooh I was wondering the same thing recently! All I've found is that you cannot order alcoholic beverages (unless you wantt o pay, of course) so I wondered if that ment you could get non- alc. specialty drinks. I've been hearing so many good things about the sci-fi milkshakes, I was wondering if I couold get those as part of the plan (probably would count as a dessert?).

I think some times it depends on the server. Plus, it is not consistent at all TS. I got smoothies/milk shakes at Boma, LeCellier, WCC and Turf Club (SSR). At Boma I got an additional soda once but not the other two times. So, I guess the anser is just ask at each TS/CS if you see something special you want. The CMs are usually well-versed on what the restaurant allows.

Why doesn't Disney have sweet tea! It is almost impossible to sweeten cold tea. Oh no, a whole week with no sweet tea with dinner :sad1: I drink a lot of water, but not with meals! I don't like flavored teas either. I am a true southern girl and I love my sweeeet tea!!!!!

Got milkshakes at both Sci Fi and 50's Pime time. At Pimetime, they give you a tall glass AND the left over in the metal tumbler. It was more than enough to share with DD5

They had them at POFQ food court last year, so I would imagine they'd have them other places. I think the brand was Powerade and, though I didn't get one, when we asked about drink choices we were told fountain drinks or any of the bottled drinks, which included the Powerades, juices, milk/chocolate milk, water, and probably a few that I'm forgetting.
