DDP at DVC Question

We are doing a large family trip to WDW this October, 7 adults and my 13 mo. old niece. We are going to have a 2 BDR and a studio. My parents will be in the studio, and the rest of us in the 2 BDR Saturday - Friday. On Friday my parents are moving into the 2 BDR for the last night to save us points. So that's the confusing part.

So the big question is can we say for the purposes of the DDP, that my parents are registered in both rooms for the whole trip, and just get the DDP on the 2 BDR for 7 adults for 7 nights. It would just be easier to have all the points on one card, and that way we'd also have dining for my parents the last night.

If I am reading your post correctly, the entire group is 7 adults and a 13 month old...correct? Or is it 7 adults and 13 month old in the 2 bedroom plus 2 adults in the studio?

If it is 7 total, it should work as you describe. If it is 7 plus 2, then no.

If the 7 includes your parents, they will need to be listed on both the 2 bedroom reservation, to get a key, and the studio reservation. You will pay for 7 adults on the 2 bedroom reservaton for the entire length of the reservation. Your parents would use the 2 bedroom room key to get all their meals on the trip using the DDP. Do not tie the DDP to the studio reservation.

Yep, it is 7 adults total. We could have technically all fit in a 2 BDR, but we wanted to give everyone their own space on the trip. That and my dad's a cranky pants whenever anyone is laughing or talking past 10 PM. So we wanted to give him his own little hidey hole, while the rest of us stay up. Gotta feel bad for the early bird in a family full of night owls.

I don't believe you'll be able to register them in different units at the same time. For this situation I'd just not worry about where they are the last night from a registration standpoint. It's doubtful you'll need the room keys for any admissions options. I'm not sure I'd get the DDP for the entire party anyway for this group makeup.
