DDP and tickets question

We are looking at options for a vacation. One that we are looking at is renting points from a relative or on this board. (Why pay rack rate Value if I can get a DVC for about the same price?) Now my question is can we still use the DDP? What kind of tickets? Can we use with either an AP or do we have to buy the magic your way? Thank you for any help!!

For a DVC reservation (rented or not) at a DVC resort, the DDP is independent of tickets. You can use an AP, buy tickets or even not go to the parks at all.

But the member must add the DDP for you. You will pay at checkin. It must be for every member of your party over 3yos and for the entire length of your stay.

You do not need to have any tickets to get the DDP if you are staying at a DVC on a point reservation. You just have to have the person who made the reservation put the DDP on it and then you pay at check in.
