DDP and Three Rooms

Okay. If I take myself and two other families to Disney World, and I pay for all three reservations, and everyone has the DDP....

How the heck do the room keys work? Will all three rooms have all the credits on their cards, listed as 7A3C (plus an infant)??? Will each room have their own? 3A1C, 2A2C, 2A (infant)???? If we want to split up who stays in each room, so that girl cousins share a bed, but we want to have each family have their own dining plan on their own room keys... URGH! I'm confusing even me.

Lemme see if I can 'splain better.

3 Families:
Me, DH, DD11, DS8
Aunt C, Uncle B DN(iece)8, DN(iece)3, DN(iece) 1
Grandma and Grandpa

I pay for DDP (and rooms and tix) for all three

But I want each family to be able to split up for lunch or dinner or snack if needed. (Say, Grandma and Grandpa run out of steam and don't want to stay at the park with us, or Aunt C and Uncle B want to take their kids to a character meal my kids have already been to... etc.) So I'd want cards that read:
3AC1 - My family
2A2C - My sister's family (plus her infant, not listed)
2A - Grandparents

HOWEVER, (confused yet?) I want the sleeping arrangements to work thusly:

Me, DH, DD11, DN8
Aunt C, Uncle B, DN3, DN1
Grandma and Grandpa, DS8

The idea being my son, the only boy child, gets a bed to himself, and no room has more than 4 people, the max for Pop Century.

Would it be okay to book the rooms the way I want them for DINING, but then switch up where people actually sleep??

Or does it all come on one big card 7A3C in which case I have to instruct the rest of my family strictly in NOT USING MY SNACK CREDITS, lol????

you can book all three rooms in each families name as separate reservations and they can be linked. I think you actually have to book them as separate reservations. I personally would book each family a room and not worry about how sleeping arrangements are - as long as those sleeping arrangements dont break any of the occupancy rules which from what you said it doesn't sound like they will. Then each 'family' gets their own credits. Everyone except the under 3 will be issued a card which contains their room key, park tickets, and the dining credits for the entire room. So each person has access to credits for the room. If you are eating in different groups than the room assignments make sure you use cards accordingly to keep track better.

Oh and by the way the family of 5 can fit in one room at pop since the baby is under 3. Occupance is 4 + 1 under 3(in a crib/pack'n'play).

THANK YOU. That clarifies a lot! I will book the rooms by family (once I can without ruining the surprise, lol) and then we can just change where people actually sleep. (Provided, of course, we can get my sister's family to follow our early bird routine!)

I know on connecting rooms they can fix it where all keys open both doors, not sure about a set of three rooms.

We are taking DN(ephew)12, DN(ephew)10, and DN(iece)10 along with our two girls this December. I had to book two rooms and they did it as two seperate rooms, but I am the primary so I have one bill. The rooms are split up DH, DN, DN, DN in one room. Me, DD, DD in another. I assume that is because they need an adult on each room ressie. We are guaranteed joining rooms, because they are kids. From what I was told the DDP will be split up by rooms also. In my case I hope they can all be put together.
