DDP and switching resorts confusion

I have a confusing question regarding the DDP when staying at two resorts on DVC pts, so we have to pay for the DDP at checkin.

We'll be at WLV June 8 - June 10th, then AKV June 10-June 20th. We have the DDP for both resorts.

My understanding is that you get the DDP from the day of checkin (June 8th at WLV) to midnight of your check out day (June 10th at WKV). So, does that mean that on June 10th, when we check in to AKV, that we will have both dining plans in effect for the day?

If so, I'm going to change the DDP for our WLV reservation to only be for the 8th and 9th, so we aren't paying double for one day.

When you sign up for the dining plan, you are required to get it for all nights of your stay.

You get DDP credits only for the amount of NIGHTS on your reservation, not days. Therefore, at WLV you are getting credits for the 8th and 9th already, and not the 10th because you are not spending the night there. The 10th will be covered by your AKV reservation.

The credits are good until midnight of your checkout day. If there are two people on your reservation, you will have 2 table service, 2 counter service and 2 snack credits to use on the 8th, 9th and 10th. You could, if you wanted, use them all up on the 8th and 9th alone. You are not required to use them all every day.

Your AKV credits will be good until midnight of your checkout date, the 20th. You are not paying double, since you get credits for the number of nights you spend, not days.

Thanks for the response and pardon me if I'm being really dense here. So we have 2TS, 2 CS and 2 Snack per person, per night of our stay, then since we don't be getting to WLV until 9pm on the 8th, we will have left over credits from that reservation.
Can we use those left over credits on our check out day of Tuesday the 10th until midnight that night?

If, for some reason, we decided to check-in to AKV in the morning (knowing our room won't be available until 4pm), would we loose our left over credits from WLV? I am assuming that they can't be transfered to the AKV reservation, but also assuming that we can keep our Key cards that have our credits on them.

No, you will have 1 of each per person on the regular DDP. TDC Nala was saying you would have two of each for the two of you.

Yes.

That should NOT happen, but it occasionally does. If it does, the fix is to have the restaurant call the front desk of the resort you just checked OUT of. They will have the full record of all of your DDP credits from their ressie.

After you check out from VWL on the last day of your trip, those credits will also be good until midnight that night. If you don't think you're going to use them all, you might consider doing a signature dining for 2 TS each to burn up the credits.
