Is there a way to purchase the Souvenir cups/buckets/etc by paying the difference between the Souvenir price and the standard price when you use the DDP to pay for the drink/snack?

I believe you will be required to pay full price unfortunately

At Mama Melrose's, we ordered the Ariel light-up cup while on the DDP & were charged $4.99 instead of $6.99 as they deducted $2 for the cost of the drink.

How they figured out $2... I don't know. :rotfl:

I remember being offered to but the cup for X number of dollars. As the previous poster said it was something like 4-5 bucks. This was years ago (5 or 6 now) though for me so not sure if they still do that.

If they offer it, awesome, I'll get one... if not, then I won't. No need for the extra drink since we'll all get one with our meal.

Now another question - Restaurantosaurus serves their kids' meals in a souvenir bucket. Do they still do that for the DDP?

Pretty sure you still get it in the bucket since that is how all the kids meals are served there.

It's not a do or die decision for the restaurant as my boys are all dino-obsessed and will want to eat there no matter what, but I was hoping to head over to The Boneyard after with the buckets for some downtime.

When we went to BOG last year we had to pay full price for the special castle cup that lights up. Although if you think about it, its only really a $2 difference, lol...I see $2 as really chump change when you look at the big picture of how much it costs to go to Disney anyways, lol...If you don't want to pay the $2 for the drink then don't get the special cup is the way I see it, lol

Can you sub your drink for something else? If you can, I would just buy the souvenir cup with drink and sub the drink that comes with the meal. I know you can sub your dessert...

Ha, quoting myself here... I just looked and yes, you can. So I could sub the drink for a snack and then buy the souvenir drink.
