I know that if you are a guest of Shades of Green you do not qualify for DDP. SOG wants their guests to purchase their dining plan. Anyone know if Disney plans to help out on this one? SOG is for our military families, active and retired, and offers room rates and park tickets at a discount rate. Also, guests of SOG have all the privileges of Disney resort guests (early park entrance, transportation, etc.) This is great because many of our military members (especially our younger military folks) can't afford to stay at a Disney resort. I am sure that SOG has wonderful restaurants but it is extremely inconvenient to have to go back to the hotel for every meal. I guess I am just hoping this gets read by someone who has the power to do something about this issue. It would be nice of Disney to make an exception and offer the DDP to this "non-Disney" hotel.

FYI, yes, I have stayed at SOG on 2 different occasions, and yes, both times were very positive experiences...great hotel and very large rooms...and that was BEFORE the renovations. It is probably glorious now.

Thanks in advance if you have any info......

When I checked last year, SOG rooms were priced above value resorts. I wholeheartedly agree that service-members are underpaid for the duties they perform, but they can participate in DDP by staying at a value.

Yep, the value resorts are cheaper than SOG...I had forgotten about that. I always forget about the value resorts because we are a family of 5. Thanks for the info.
