DDP and DVC

We are staying 6 nights in Dec at OKW with a party of 4 adults. We want DDP- everyone in the room can and must (if one has it) get it for the entire length of stay whether or not they are DVC members, right?

Second- banking and borrowing I have a total of 150 points to use. We want a 2 br villa. Sun- Fri would be 110 points. Then that first Sat (the day we arrive) I figured we could do a 1 br for 40 points- perfect. My question is this... can I make them like two seperate ressies and only purchase the DDP on the longer ressie for 5 days instead of buying it for all six? Would doing that greatly decrease our chances of getting to stay put with a lock-off 2 bedroom? If we were to link the ressies to increase our chances of staying put would that mean we had to buy 6 days of DDP? Sorry so long- thanks for the help.

As to whether you can stay in your room, the depends entirely upon the logistics of what is available.

In answer to your DDP question...as the one bedroom, then 2 bedroom would be separate reservations, yes, you can get the DDP for the 2 bedroom portion of your stay without having to get it for the one bedroom portion.

If you don't want the DDP on the first night of your stay, you will need to have separate reservations. This means you will have to check out and check in again. You may or may not have to move to a different room.
