For the desserts at CS restaurants I have some questions:
Are the adult and kids desserts the same selection? No. At most counter service places there will be a choice of 2 adult desserts...typically pre-packaged items like a small triple-chocolate cake or strawberry parfait. These come in a small cup. There are a few places where you have a large selection of many great fancy desserts...counter service places with bakery like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot the Land building, Starring Rolls at DHS, Main Street BAkery at Magic Kindgom...on adult meals, you choose your dessert from the bakery counter. ost resort counter service places also have a choice of ice cream, as well as a few bakery choices like cupcakes, and yogurt parfaits. However, the kids meals dessert component is like a small baggie of apple slices or grapes. The kids do not get to choose from the adult dessert choices.
Can grapes/applesauce yogurt be subbed for the dessert for an adult or kid? Kids meal comes with whatever fruit is specified for the dessert...you can ask for small pre-packaged cookie instead of the kids dessert fruit serving. The kids cannot sub adult dessert choices on the kids meals though. On the adult dessert, you can usually sub a bottled water for your dessert, or you At some counter service places, they had bowls of fruit like whole apples or bananas...on adult meals, they will usually let you take a piece of fruit if available. You can ask for the kids meal fruit if you'd like, but keep in mind it is a small serving of fruit, since it's meant to be a meal component for kid 3-9 years old. My adult daughter asked for the fruit a couple of times...the apple slices was like 5-6 slices from a small apple...the grapes was about 10 grapes.
