DDP and DDE

Can you use both at the same meal? For instance, we will be on the dining plan on our upcoming trip. If we order alcohol or an extra appetizer or dessert or something not covered on the DDP and it's a restaurant that accepts DDE, can we use the card with our OOP costs?

Yes you can. We just returned Sunday and used both several times.
