Ok, we are purchasing the dining plan, 2 adults and 1 child for 6 nights. I thought the total would be $533.82 but was told it would be $599.76...

did the price increase for May time frame? Or is it more if you are buying it through a DVC reservations?:confused3

Well I do have two children, but their ages in May will be 4 and 2....I guess she listed the baby as 3? Can I keep it or will they fix upon checkin?

If you dont want to pay for the 2 year old you better have them fix it - they may think you are trying to do something wrong if you wait like trying to get away with not paying ddp for all of the people. Some people get the dining plan for the 2 year old by listing them as three. Which brings on it's own set of problems - then disney has your child a year older in their computer however then if that becomes an issue you just give them the right age. I know being dvc you dont buy as a package but people who do then have to buy the child ticket for their 2 year old as well. If you want your 2 year old to eat off your plate at a meal (thereby saving the credit) you could run into some explaining at meals it would have to go in your favor as the child is only 2 but it just could create issues.

Will she/he be 2 or 3 at the time of the trip? I would change it because under 3 is allowed to "eat off" your plate.

She just turned two last Saturday and our trip is in May. I know she can eat off our plate but in all honesty, we'll more than likely order her her own meal each place. She has to have what dear sis has - and she usually eats more!

Did they also charge you for tickets for her? If not, and you plan to buy her meals, then I would just leave it.

I REALLY doubt you'll need to do this. We just came back from a trip with our DD5 and DS2. They always split a meal and rarely finished it all, both are pretty big eaters. Occasionally, we would give one or both a little off of our plates, which we didn't miss at all, there is TONS of food.
Remember as well that buffet/all you can eat places, kids under 3 are free so your DD will be able to have as much as she wants.
The only thing we ordered for him was a glass of milk at the sit down restaurants (like Coral Reef), they could have shared that too (even the glasses of milk are huge), but DD won't touch anything after DS has, even a straw!

I'd keep it. Use it when you want to buy her a meal, and save the other credits for your kids to split meals when necessary. It's not hard to spend $11 a day in Disney on food!

You REALLY don't need the extra food! You get SO MUCH FOOD with the Dining Plan, that you won't have to order anything else for your under 3 child...except for a drink! I just went in December with a 5 year old and an 18 month old...who eats MORE than her 5 year old brother!!! We did TOTALLY fine. You have NO IDEA how much food you get!!!!!!!!

Call back and have the total changed. It should be $38.99 per Adult per day, $10.99 per Child per day. No tax.
