DDP and Appetizer Question

Hi all,

We are on the DDP and we were reading through the 2009 DDP brochure and it says this for table service meals

FOR LUNCH/DINNER
e Appetizer (Guest ages 3-9 only)
e Entrée
e Dessert
e Non-alcoholic beverage

Is that a typo about the appetizers? Why would it be offered to the kids and not the adults?

The kids menus at TS's are an all inclusive meal. Sometimes the appetizer will arrive WITH the entree. They might serve the kids meal on a mickey head shaped plate, with the entree on the head, the appie on one ear, and a side dish on the other ear. Dessert and even a drink will be included in the cost of the kids meal.

You know, I hate to say it, but the DDP is becoming less and less of a deal. I mean, doing the math with our upcoming trip, it really doesn't save all that much money any more, if any... even worse with Signature. I was just crunching the numbers and found with most restaurants and QS, it was essentially break even. It was a fantastic value with tip and apps included, and a decent value with apps. But they continue to up the price and take stuff away... its just not a value anymore.

I totally agree.. the having to pay tip is what is holding me back from getting the DDp as opposed to the QS plan

It's a heck of a value when it's free

Free dining isn't free. You pay rack rate for the room. Most people can find SOME kind of room discount so you really need to do the math to figure out if free dining really is your best deal. If you wouldn't normally eat the way the DDP works then a room discount may be much better for you.

Without the DDP, we normally wouldn't do many TS meals if any at all. The QSDP is a great deal for us when paying based on the way we like to eat but the DDP isn't. During the 4/3 promotion, we quite enjoyed the QSDP. Doing the math, I haven't gotten a room deal that worked out better during free dining the two times I went at that time so we've stuck with the free dining, but the price difference wasn't the same as the price of the DDP.
