It has been several years since we ate at 50's Prime Time and had the fried chicken. We do not like dark meat, so we paid extra for white meat. Is this an option on the DDP?

That's a really good question, as I do the same thing and am on the MYW dining plan for the first time on my upcoming trip.

Let me call Disney Dining and see if I can get an answer.

Be right back.
:)

Ok am on hold (listening to You Can Fly -- Come on Nana!!) with Disney Dining and I think I caught the CM a little off guard with my questions (had another one regarding the Pepper Market). Did ask if you were to order chicken with all white meat it's usually a little bit more $$ and how did that work on the DDP.

Ok, she came back with the answer to the Pepper Market question, but I had to reask the 50's Primetime question, because I don't think she understood me the first time. I told her that they usually charge a little bit more for the fried chicken meal if you want all white meat and whether or not that is still covered under the TS credit or will I get charged separately for the difference. I am now back on hold listening to the 7 Dwarfs "Hi hoo".

She said that it is covered on the meal plan. "You are entitled to an appetizer, meal, dessert & drink for the TS. The only time you would be charged OOP is if you add to the meal, such as grilled shrimp with steak (if it is not already included)."

I don't see an option on the menu for "white meat only" so I wouldn't rely on what this CM said. You'll have to check with the server of your table once you're seated to know for sure.

I had read on another board that they had to pay OOP the difference in the cost to get the meal with all white meat. No biggie. At least you have the option to pay.
