I've been trying to figure out whether the plans will be cost effective and have two questions.

1) if you order a large pizza between 2 adults (using 2TS credits), can a child/infant share without using credits or buying anything?

2) "Specialty" drinks are now included. Would this include your $11ish margaritas/etc and kids drinks with glow sticks/lights? Or is it just the basic beer/wine/milkshake?

Thanks in advance!

I don't believe you'll be able to order a large pizza using two credits. If the child is on the plan, Via Napoli won't allow you to split.

1. Currently, if you want pizza, you can only order the individual sized pizza when using dining credits at VN. You cannot share (i.e. use one credit to feed two or more people) at VN. The only exception would be a child two years or younger since they would not have a dining plan. You cannot combine credits to order a larger sized pizza. I would go with the expectation that this will not change next year.

2. No one knows exactly what specialty drinks will be included next year. I think there will be a maximum dollar amount because it's unlikely a $24 glass of wine would be included. Souvie cups and glow cubes haven't been included because they are considered merchandise and the description of non-alcoholic options for 2018 do not mention that these items will be eligible in 2018.

Until the 2018 Dining Plan pdf is published we won't know what the changes will include. You could book a package for 2018 and once the dining plan is published you can decide whether to add it or not. If you book just a room only reservation now you will have to cancel it and re-book a package if you decide to add the dining plan.

Via Napoli is very strict in regards to the DDP and credits. No sharing is allowed, and as was already pointed out, the large pizza is not on the plan. We like the pizza and will often order it, but if we do we pay OOP. If we use credits it is to order entrees off of the menu.

For the beverages that will be included, I am waiting to see how that plays out in 2018. I doubt every cocktail will be allowed, and bet there will be a section of beverages that you can purchase for an upcharge, much like the addition of lobster tail at Narcoosses.

I think whether or not cocktails are included might be the deciding factor on whether or not we go with the DDP :)

This is how it went for us with my dad...those folks were great, handled everything he needed...we were so grateful.

I believe there will be a lot included, but there are some that are very pricy, and those may be the ones that are considered "add-ons". I htink someone upthread referred to a $24 drink. I am not at all sure this one or others taht are that costly will be on the list.

As others have stated a child under 3 can share but I just wanted to add our experience from this August. We were told that our 1 year old could order a complimentary meal. We were on the deluxe plan so it's already way too much food (we took 2 individual pizzas back to our room for lunch the next day) so we didn't order anything for her, but I was so surprised when the sever told us.
I don't know if this is new because I never heard it mentioned before.
ETA: we were able to order any individual pizza or entree- not larger pizzas and split like others have already posted.
