DDE Saved TONS!

For those people who ordered DDE and didn't get one in their spouse's name. You can call up and get a card also in your spouse's name for no extra charge. Took about 2-3 weeks for one to come for DH after I realised we had only gotten one card and called DDE.

When I renewed for our DDE membership I thought it was odd the form did not mention about a spouse's card. I wrote in on the form that I wanted a card for my spouse and gave his name. (I faxed in our form and payment.)
It should have been easy, since that was just a repeat of what we already had.

Not only do you save the 20 percent on the meals, you also save the sales tax that you would have paid on the full price of the meals. Even as just a couple, we made our money back quite easily on three dinners. Well worth the $50 we paid.

Great to hear. I ordered the DDE, for our July trip and I think it is really going to save us some money. We have 12 AR, so I am sure that it will more than pay for itself.

Yes, we also saved a lot of money.

But I think it is as addictive as an AP. You know, "since we have the cost of the tickets covered, why not make another trip".

"Since we are saving 20%, might as well do a sit down for lunch instead of counter". I ate better and I ate more (which I didn't need ).

The number to call is (407) 566-5858, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

It takes a long time to process - they say about 4-6 weeks but it can be longer. I ordered mine at the end of March and just got the cards in the post yesterday! However, I am sure they will issue you with a letter, either by post or to be collected at Epcot when you arrive. Ask them about this when you phone. Good luck!

Our PAP's and DDE card were the best investments we made!! Over our 10-day visit this past week, we WAY more than got our money back. We just returned home early, early this morning; so we haven't had a chance to calculate our exact savings.

I am curious for those who say they were not asked for ID with the DDE did you pay cash for your meal or use a credit card/room key charge. i would think that if you use a matching credit card or room key they are not going to want ID but with cash they would. just curious.

Yes -- "rules" state card holder and up to nine guests per visit. You mave save the entire cost of the card with one meal!

The only time we were asked for ID was at our resort food court. She said be prepared because we'd be asked for it, but we never were again. We always paid cash, but I don't think it matters too much because it can be your card and someone else can pay for it. They take the card and subtract it from your bill before you pay, so they might not even notice the names.

DH and I got back a week ago from a 6-day trip (just the two of us) and DDE saved us $109 (plus the sales tax we would have paid on higher amounts), so we are well ahead of the $50 investment. We used it at Kona Cafe for breakfast (twice), Boatwrights for dinner (never again) and breakfast, 'Ohana, Boma & Wolfgang Puck Cafe for dinner, GF Tea, Chefs de France for Lunch, Le Cellier for dinner and Mama Melrose for dinner. Also, it was good at the POFQ food court, so that saved us a few bucks on fruit, drinks & snacks for the room, plus one lunch.

Since we enjoy our drinks, we saved a bundle at Tambu Lounge, Victoria Falls, Rose & Crown & River Roost.

When we go back in October, we will have 12-20 family & friends along, so we will save a ton more.

When we consider the savings of our APs, DDE and Magical Express over 3 trips, we are very pleased!

I received my cards today. Ordered 8 weeks ago. Can't wait to use them in 4 weeks! I know we will make our money back. I am planning on using them on 3 trips.
