Forgive me if these questions have already been answered on this board. My DD8 and I are going to WDW this August and once more before our APs expire. We can't get the free dining package because we got the AP rate for our resort. I can't decide whether it would be worth it to get the DDE card or not. We aren't big breakfast eaters so we will eat in our room and likely use counter service for lunch and a sit down for dinner. Do you think it is worth spending the $50 for the card? Are the cards good for a whole year?
We will be at POFQ for 7 nights this August and likely spend another 5 or 6 nights there again next summer.
Any guidance would be appreciated. :flower:

since you are planning 2 trip I would say yes. We had one sit down a day and it does save you some $$ after 250 on food it pays for itself.

Expires in one year--order a couple weeks prior to your trip.

We travel with a party of 4 usually but this past week we were there with 9 and plan to do the same week next year w/ our other daughters family for a total of 10, so for us, at just 1 or 2 meals it is worth it. In fact I think that when we track our savings it has paid for it's self but also in one week of a lg group it paid for 1/3 of 1 AP renewal, and we have 3 more tirps left before it expires! This is a really unusual yr. for us. Also take into account that we did use it for a couple character meals, which surprised me that they were included. Also, overall, we didn't spend much more than we normally do jus because we were "saving all that money". We are DVC members so several breakfasts and lunches were eaten in the villa.

One hint that I used was that I ordered on June 1 for pick up at Epcot Guest Relations on June 5. (it actually is there the same or next day waiting for you to pick up the letter (not your actual card) that allows us to use it for June trips this year and expires after our trip next year.

If you get it track you usage and savings, I was pleasantly surprised!

I would say yes for your case.
Plus your resort food court will accept the DDE. With that, you might be inclined to get something small for breakfast or snacking too.

Yes....DH and I went for a quick 4 day trip in May. We are going again in August but I saved my 50 dollars on that first trip!
