DDE Questions

Can someone explain to me the benefits of the DDE card again? Not sure if I want to invest or not. Is breakfast included in that discount? How much of a discount?

Here's a list of our tentative sit-down restaurants. Any NOT included on the discount list:

Breakfast: Whispering Canyon Cafe, Kona Cafe, Concourse Rest., POP food court
Lunch: CRT, Liberty Tree Tavern, Sci-Fi Drive-In
Dinner: 50's Primetime Cafe, Mama Melrose's

There's 3 of us, but we don't really eat that much. Mostly planning on at least 1 counter service per day.

Help is MUCH needed and anticipated!!!

Here is the webpage on allears net that gives the info.

You need to be either a florida resident or an AP holder to get it.

Counter service is not included..except for some at AK.

All of the restaurants you listed are eligible for the discount (20%)
It's $50 for an AP holder, $75 for a FL resident.
If you're an AP holder you would get your money back after spending $250

I've been debating getting one, we won't be back until Dec. 2006 so I'm not sure if it is worth the $$. I've been going to allears to check out the menus & prices to see if we'll at least break even with our dining plans we know for certain (we're only light planners) then anything extra will just be icing. You might want to try that too.

It was only my mom and I in Jan for 4 days and we saved $43. We had breakfast at Chef Mickeys and Cape May and dinner at Ohanas, Trails End and Le Cellier. Every place that you listed is included in the 20% list and you will probably recoup your money in 5 or 6 meals. Pop Centurys food court is definately included as there are no sit down restaurants at POP.

The way we looked at it after our two trips so far this year is that it brings the cost of a sit down lunch down to the same cost as a counter service one for this family of four. We save an average of $10-$20 on each meal, so we feel it's worth it. Oh yeah, since the POP has no sit down restaurant I have read where people were even able to get the 20% off the cost of the refillable mugs when purchased with meals in the food court!
