DDE Question

We're planning on getting APs for our upcoming trip, but I was just going to stop in DD and get them when we arrive. Is it possible to order a DDE card even though I don't yet have an AP?

No, you have to have a confirmation number or an AP number to order the DDE card. You can get it when you get your APs, but only if it's during business hours Monday - Friday. They will fax your DDE information over to your hotel. How about ordering one AP before you go and then you can order your DDE card as soon as you get your AP voucher. Then you can pick up the rest of your APs when you get there.

Absolutely not! I just went through this over the past few days. There was so much confusion at the beginning of January with the new changes, that they did accept many applications without APs. Now they have had proper training, and will only accept: AP Exchange Voucher numbers or actual AP numbers. They aren't even accepting Will-Call certificates, so if you don't have an AP, then they won't process your application. I would suggest ordering an exchange voucher if you can. If you can believe it, I just ordered mine 5 days ago and then arrived here to Canada today! I did the $3.00 delivery option - it was incredibly quick!

Good luck with ordering your card. I'm sure that other people may post on here saying that they did receive their cards without APs, but I have just been through many phone calls and emails over the past week on this very issue, and the DDE office is very strict about this policy now that there were so many mistakes made in January. I actually ordered my card through Rosa Flores herself today and since I had my Exchange Voucher in hand, it was no problem.

I agree with the other posters, no way to order without an AP or voucher. I just talked with my friend who called on Friday to order her DDE card. She was asked for her AP number, which she left at home and they ended the call and said she should call back when she has the number with her. She called today with number in hand and ordered. She was also told that the second card can NOW only be in the spouses name, not a second adult in the household. They told her that they had the right to change the rule and that that rule was just changed over the past day or so. Seems there are many folks that are "sharing" the membership with others.

To the OP, why not just order the voucher now either online or call the passholder number (407-560-7277). All you will receive is the voucher and it won't become activated until you take it to guest services and turn it in for the actual pass. It would be one less thing to worry about and would solve the hassle of ordering your DDE after you arrive at WDW.

Any way to order DDE once you get to WDW? I am plannning on buying two PAPs, but not until we get to SOG. If I buy now each ticket is $50 more. Can I get to SOG, buy the PAPs, call DDE, and have them send me a fax confirmation? Or should I just pay the extra now for one ticket so I can have the DDE in hand when I go.

I am having several large-party dinners and am really counting on DDE's discount.

You can call the DDE office, 407.566.5858 (option 3), when you get your PAP. As long as it's M-F during normal work hours, you should be okay. If it's a weekend, you're out of luck. Just called a little while ago and ordered mine!! I had DH's AP and was asked to read the numbers off the back. They stated 4-6 weeks for the card to arrive, so we shall see. I am not in a big rush, and in the meantime the email will be arriving authorizing us to use our discount right away. Good luck everyone!!
