DDE question

This question has probably been asked and answered already (sorry)...I tried to search but couldn't. The info I've read re the DDE card says it costs $60 per year for AP holders...but is that year from Jan thru Dec (ie all of 2006) or is it good for one year from first use of the card (like an AP)? TIA!

Last year our cards were issued when we paid for them and are good for about 13 months from that time.

Order the card about a month before your trip. It takes about that long for your permanent card to come in the mail.

Is the DDE available to non-AP holders? If so, do you know the cost? If not, pooey! Wish I lived closer so we could go more than once every 18 months to 2 years! My addiction starts gnawing at me about 1 month after we get home from each trip and just grows worse until I can start planning the NEXT visit. Maybe we should just retire, move to Orlando and I could work as a SEGWAY tour guide? Now THAT would be my dream job...

It's not a calendar year or like the ap as it isn't based on when you first use it.

It's based on when you order the card. If you order it at the right time, it will be good for about 13 months from when your order it. For example, I called to order mine on a Friday in November 2005. The card would have expired November 2006 but the CM told me if I waited and called on Monday, it wouldn't expire until December 2006. Ask when you order the card.

To the other poster-the card is for AP holders or Florida residents.

It cost $85 for FL residents so you have to spend $425 before you actually start "saving" the 20%.

Thank you very much for the info. We like to travel in Nov/Dec so this info is great to know. It looks like we'd have to spend $300 to break even with a $60 DDE cost...that shouldn't be too hard, especially if we're able to get in a couple of trips using the AP!
