DDE question

Hi,
We are going to Disney in May and this is our first time with AP's. We just ordered our DDE card and I had a few questions. I know that you get 20% off at table service restaurants but what about counter service? Also, we will have 11 people dining some of the time. How does that work if the card only covers 10 people. Do we pay separately for the 11th?

We had APs for the first time this year also (Nov thru Nov) and we used the DDE on our last trip. We saved soooo much money, it was great. They send you a list of restaurants that the card is good at when you get your card. I don't believe there were any counter service restaurants. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. The most people we dined with were 8 so I can't answer your question about the 11 people. But we ate at sit-down restaurants every night plus some lunches and character meals and we saved a fortune. Can't wait to use the card on our next two trips! Good luck!

Hmmm, don't know if they will give you the discount on that 11th person or not. I bet some will, some won't. You can use at CS's at any resort that DOES NOT have a TS (AS, POP, POFQ) and at Animal Kingdom since there is no TS there.

If you have an 11th person it doesn't really matter as they usually take the 20% off the bill up to how ever many people the card accepts. So, you wouldn't pay for that person separately it will just figure out the discount on 10 people or 10 entrees if that makes sense.

Thanks for all of the info. Can you show your AP and get a discount on Counter service restaurants? I think I read that somewhere.

THE ap SHOWED TO HAVE SOME BUT NOT AS GOOD AS THE dde. ARE ANY OF YOUR 11 CHILDREN? A CHILD NOT AT A BUFFET COULD EAT OFF AN ADULT PLATE SINCE IT PROBABLY WILL HAVE TO MUCH ANY WAY OR JUST HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR A CHILD'S MEAL.

We have been able to have more than 10 get the discount but I think it depends entirely on the server. They will discount the most expensive meals first and if there are any left over, they just won't get the discount.

They put our 11th person on another receipt whereever we went, and I used my AP discount for him when able.

We've had no problem getting the DDE for up to 12 people...guess it depends on the CM, as does almost everything else it seems....
you can use it at cs at the all star resorts and the counter service in Animal Kingdom since there is not a ts restaurant there.
