DDE question and 18% tip

We just got back from WDW where we enjoyed using our DDE card at various restaurants all through WDW. There was an 18% tip automatically included on all our bills. I was wondering if this is the case ONLY when using the DDE card, or is it for all restaurants now (even when not using DDE)? There were only 2 of us dining. TIA!

As of 2008, there is an automatic 18% tip added at table service for all DDE users regardless of party size, and all parties of 6 or more regardless of how they pay.
