DDE Letter of Authorization??

For anyone who has had to pick up a letter of authorization for the DDE card because the card didn't get there on time, did you go to "any" guest relations' at any of the parks or is it just in Epcot at the main entrance??

In the past when this has happened they have emailed me a letter but my understanding is that they no longer do this. I was just wondering if the letter can be picked up at the Int'l Gateway Guest Relation's or if we need to walk to the front of the park at the main entrance if it's necessary to do this?

I haven't done this yet, but I ordered my DDE card last week for our trip next week. Since it won't probably come by the time we leave, the CM told me I could pick it up at Guest Relations at Epcot to the right of the main ticket booths in the front of the park, not at the International Gateway.

I asked her specifically if I could pick it up at the International Gateway, because I thought I had read that you could, but she said no, that the letter would be in an envelope waiting for me at the main entrance and that they were open until 9 pm.

The only location on property to pick up a temporary DDE card is the Guest Relations window outside Epcot's front entrance.
 

I thought I remembered reading that you could only pick this up at Guest Relations M-F by 5 pm - is this still the case?? We may need to pick ours up, but are arriving on a Saturday afternoon. TIA! :)
 
You can pick it up on Saturday (I did) but you have to let them know that that is when you are picking it up so that it will be ready for you.

The office is only open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. You have to call and order during these times. You can pickup the temporary cards after 5:00pm on the day you order at guest relations at the main Epcot gate. I believe the pickup is anytime the park is open.

Picked up our letter on a Sunday morning around 11am. Didn't have to show ID -- just had to remember what date I ordered it. The card arrived in the mail a week later.
 
I ordered my DDE card at the beginning of March and haven't received it yet. I was told if it doesn't arrive in time to call two days before we leave (we arriving on a Saturday) and they will leave a temporary card for pick-up at Epcot. The are only open M-F so I have to call during the week. We leave in two weeks so I'm hoping it will arrive this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :rolleyes1
 
Very good, thanks for the replies. I was wondering since we may make ADR's in Epcot our first night so I'll need to allow extra time if it's necessary to pick up the temporary card or letter. Which is it now, a letter or a temp. card that some folks have gotten?

Thanks Debbie & Quinn!! :thumbsup2 We're still not sure if we can purchase our AP's before we leave home, or if we'll purchase them once we arrive at Disney. Since we arrive on a Saturday morning, it looks like we'll be without a DDE card until Monday evening if we can't get our AP's until we arrive. Thanks for the info!! :)
