I have been looking into whether it would be worthwhile getting a PAP & the DDE card, can you buy the DDE without an AP or PAP?? :sunny:

Only if you are a Florida resident or have an AP pass.

You could save some money if you get the AP instead of the PAP. If you don't use the water parks, Pleasure Island, or Disney Quest very much you will only need the AP. With the AP you can buy discounted tickets to the other atractions. I know that in my family we have yet to use any water park [resort pool is fine by us], we have never been to Pleasure Island but only because we have just never worked it in, and are just not interested in Disney Quest so a PAP for us would be a waste of money at this time.

Okay, I know it is overkill, but I have PAP and DDC. I do go to the Water parks alot and also love Adventurers Club at PI. Those visits are enough for justify the premium part for me. As for the DDC, it is good off site at places in Celebration and others, additonally you get valet parking for free at the Hotels. If you are staying on site to eat, just use the AP discounts.

DDE is available to FL residents for $75.00 or AP holders (all) for $50.00.

The thing to remember about the AP discount is that it is only for lunch at most places and the DDE is good anytime and for up to 10 people on a check. It includes alcohol also.

I have more than paid for the cost of my DDE card and think that for anyone who goes frequently, it's a no brainer.

Thanks for the info.
We are travelling from the UK, so we dont get to come over as often as we would like!! Although if the job i am now working in becomes permenant we are hoping to come over once or twice a year for 2-3 weeks at a time.
Do you think it would be a good idea for perhaps if my DH (to be!!) to get an AP or PAP & the rest of us to get tickets?
Would that mean that we could still get room discounts & DDE discounts for our whole family?
In the UK you can get a 7 day unlimited pass to theme & water parks for around $300 per person. I thought DH could get PAP & the DDE & the rest of us the tickets.
Any thoughts welcome! :sunny:
Sorry just realised i repeated myself!!

Yes, just one of you can get an AP for the DDE and the DDE will cover everyone in your party as long as the meal is all on one bill.
DH got one earlier this year. We did eventually all upgrade to AP's since we are going 3 times this year. The DDE is well worth it. We saved $125 USD the first trip, $40 on my trip with my mum, and we will probably save at least $300 on our next 2 trips.
I would add up the over all cost of tickets to see if you would save money on upgrading to AP's for everyone. Plus I would only do it if you know for sure that you will return at least once within the next year.
HTH!!
