DDE for 12

There will be 12 of us on an upcoming trip...I have lots of questions regarding DDE card with this size group...4 of the 12 will be children.

1. The discount is only for 12...do I tell them when I sit down to put 2 on a separate check or will they work this out in the end??

2. Can someone who is not the card holder PAY?? Like it's my DH DDE card, he'll be eating and someone else paying but wanting to use the DDE card.

3. We will often be seated at 2 tables. Will this require 2 checks and will we still be able to use the DDE card for both??

I did just read that the max number on DDE party is 10 instead of 12 though.
