DDE cards?

Brand new to this .... What are DDE cards? How do they work?

DDE cards are cards that can be purchased by Annual Passholders and Florida Residents for 20% off their dining for most sit down restaurants at WDW.

They are $50.00. You get 2 cards, good for 20% off of your meals for up to 10 guests. The cardholder must be present.

They must be ordered in advance thur the DDE phone #. They will sent you an email to use if you are going before your cards get to you.

As stated above, you must be an annual passholder or a Florida resident to get one.

In two trips, mine had already paid for itself.

I thought anyone could get one. The price is just $75.00 and not $50.00. Am I wrong in thinking this?

There were some reports that anyone could order them earlier this year. However, Disney is now requiring that folks ordering them MUST be FL residents or AP holders, and are requiring the ticket codes from the AP pass as proof before they will fill an order.

What if you do not have your AP Vouchers yet and are going to buy them at the MCO airport gift shop? What happens then?

you have to have the voucher or the pass before you can order them. why not order the passes online before you go instead. :)

Where do you order the AP's online? I am really frustrated because I can't decide if I want to do the AP's and get the DDE card or go ahead and book a package with the dining plan. I know that you only have to have 1 AP to get the room discount (that is if they offer one), but we are planning on going back next year before the AP expires. There are3 in our family, Me, DH and DD. Would you order all three AP's or just one and get regular tickets like say 10-day park hoppers for the other two people? I am really getting confused on this!! Can anyone help???? :confused3

The DDE cards are $75.00 for FL residents who are not passholders and $50.00 for ALL passholders.

The AP must be activated prior to obtaining your DDE. If you need to get your AP at the airport, stop by guest services at DTD to activate your AP and then call DDE to get your card. They will ask for your ticket # from the pass, and will email or fax an authorization letter to you.

DDE is only open Mon-Fri 9-5 so keep that in mind.

You can also stop at either Character Warehouse at Belz or Character Premier at Belz or Orlando Premium Outlets and get activated AP's.

I could be wrong, but I thought the earport sold activated passes.

you do NOT need to activate your AP - just need the #s off the voucher to order the DDE card
