DDE cards came!!!

Our DDE cards came in today's mail!!!

I am so excited as this will really add up for our family!

Thank you so much WDW for making this available to AP holders.

Is anyone else worried that this won't last?

At any rate, we will put it to good use this year!

Why do you need more than one card? The info on All ears net says it's good for up to ten people but must be on the bill of the cardmember. Is this info wrong?

Lucky you. Ordered mine mid January and am still waiting. We used the email letter when we were there at the end of January/beg of February but still want the actual cards. It was well worth the cost, that's for sure. We saved a bundle and it's just the two of us.

Yooperfan - you get two cards, one for yourself and one for your spouse. The info on allearsnet is not wrong, it is good for up to 10 people.

herc, we do have the same expiration date.

Mick&Min2001, I ordered on 1/11 I think. I know my email is dated 1/12. People on the East coast and even in Ohio who ordered in the same time frame were posting that theirs arrived a couple of days ago. So don't give up hope. It actually had two postmarks on it...Allentown, PA and LEHIGH Valley, PA. My DH says both of these are in the same area of PA? So maybe a little extra time to get to Texas? And Canada!

It will be nice to have two cards because sometimes my DH and I arrive before the other one or he and our sons are golfing and having lunch while our DD and I have lunch elsewhere, etc..

Our letter does say good for up to six but our ChuckS, our DIS expert on the program has assured everyone that it is good for up to ten....or at least I think it was Chuck!

nah, I could complain I suppose and return them, but not going to.

Other card is in in DD's name. Mom usually ends up paying the bill anways, LOL.

ah ha! I knew I had heard it was good for up to 10 people! My cards came and the literature with them says it good for up to 6 people. I am not happy if they have changed things.

Just returned from a week at the World and my card was waiting on me! We had no trouble using the email confirmation letter. I think I ordered mine in mid-January.

I ordered it in early Jan, and I just got my card. The exp. date says 3/31/06, which is not what they told me when I called. So I am excited!!
I also used the email while at the World and had no problems. (2/09-2/13) And they let me us it for 10 people. (more when my husband and I were together. There were 18 of us at Whispering Canyons)
Now I just need to talk my husband into another trip

dawgsgirl and wirki, that is great that you had no problem using the email during your trips. I was concerned because my email letter expiration date was during our trip. I planned to email and ask for a different date for the letter if necessary but I'm glad the cards came.

Did you both enjoy good savings? Well, wirki with 18 at WCC, I guess you did on that meal alone!

Our cards expire 2/28/06. I wonder if the expiration date depends on who anwers the phone!

I received mine but on the back it says you must show Florida ID- I am not a Florida resident but an AP holder. what's up with this?

The cards were probably preprinted that way before the rules changed this year to allow AP holders to also get the card. The servers may ask for ID but as long as the name on the card matches the name on the ID you will be fine. I went in Jan used the email and was home almost two weeks before my credit was charged. I was very happy to see 2/06 expiration becuase I will be able to use the card for 3 trips which should come to a nice savings.

Ordered mine on January 12th and got them yesterday, 2/25. Woo hoo!! The expiration date is 3/31/06 which is different from what I was told on the phone. If you ordered in mid-January yours should be coming any day now.

Sorry for the question...but can someone explain what the cards are for? I am a DVC member but have never had APs since my trips have always been a year apart. We are debating going twice this year so we may buy APs and I'm wondering if this dining thing is worth looking into. Thanks for the help.

The cards are good for 20% off your dining bill at select sit-down restaurants throughout the world, including the resorts. You also get 20% off at the counter-service places at AK and the Value resorts. Unlike MYW Dining, alcoholic beverages are included in the discount.
