I'm going to POR on saturday- so I'll test this w/ my DDE card!

Can I use my DDE card and DH use for the same bill to cover more than 10 people?

My AP isn't current (we're getting new ones before our Sept trip) so, I can't access this info - you mentioned the All Stars - can anyone tell me if the DDE is still good at POP Century's food court?

It really comes in handy at the food court - we used the DDE for breakfast, lunch & dinner & also on the occassional late night snack - it really adds up after awhile!

Yes it is good at the food court at Pop, at least it was in Dec!

As far as POR goes...figures that I would get the one CM in the entire place to tell me I couldn't use my DDE card! Ah well.

Ther are 12 of us going in August (2 families and 2 boyfriends). Ours (4) have AP and the rest do not. Obviously I cant (and shouldn't) cover 12 people with my DDE. Can my wife get a DDE to cover the rest (or 6 each), and if so is it only $25 more for the second card? Or should I just tell them to look into AP's also-they were planning 7 day passes. Thanks.

Any experts on this?

Does anyone have a different list than the one on the AP website. This one no longer list ANY resort food courts....no Pop or any All Stars, nor French Quarters. Just wondering if this is a 2006 change?? We'll find out when we get to Pop in 3 weeks.

Thanks! I checked out the thread and it said that as of end of Jan. no more CRT. We should be safe if this true ( leaving in 3 days ). It wouldn't change anything anyway. We've never been to CRT(could never get reservations before) My daughter is excited and I don't know when we'll be back . It's nice to have the added bonus of the discount though. We'll also be trying our luck again at the POR food court -hope it still works will let you all know.

The person we spoke to today said that CRT is covered through this next calendar year for the DDE card. So, if you still have questions about it, it's best to call & confirm, but this is exactly what we were told this morning.

I had been told when I called last week (got someone in dining), that if we are at sep tables and the bill is divided (we all don't fit at one, so we would be at different tables) we could both use it. Another person PM'd me and said they were not allowed to to it. I finally had time to stay on hold for the DDE people and she said, that if we were both in the same restaurant, it would be counted as one card..10 people. If I was at, say Cape May, and he was at Mexico, at the same time, we would each be allowed 10. I'll let you know after the 26th when we ask at the restaurant.

I'm not planning on purchasing our AP's until we arrive at WDW - we can purchase them with our military discount at SOG. I originally thought I'd have to buy one AP voucher without our discount ahead of time in order to book a room under the BRP plan, but that has come to an end.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

You need the ap or the voucher. They asked for my numbers when I ordered mine.

You can't use it at POR because they have a table restaurant.

I also asked at CBR last month and was told the same thing.

The people who used it at POR were lucky. I don't have that kind of luck.

Has anyone used it at POFQ in 2006? I really loved getting the discount at ASMo last Aug. That 3 night trip paid for the card alone in great part due to the discount on breakfast and snacks at the food court. I did not get the discount on the refillable mug. I am planning another short trip the first week of May and part of the reason I chose POFQ was to use the DDE card at the food court.

Wish I had known/remembered this during our stay last month. Had breakfast there everyday, so I could have saved a few $. Was thinking sit down only, even though I am sure I read about Pop and All Stars before.

We weren't able to use it on the refillable mugs, either, but I'm glad to hear someone has successfully used DDE at POP in 2006 - thanks so much for the update!!

Yes, we made a full payment for ours as well. We were told by the DDE people to tell them at the breakfast about the card, and they'd make a refund for the discounted amount at that time.

I'll have to go on faith that they'll actually refund it at that time!

Here's my HDDR story as far as booking/discounts go...
I called and made my ADR (PS then) in Oct '04 for our Oct '06 trip. DD really wants to be there, celebrating her 13th birthday. So, we're all set. Then, when the DDE became an option for us last spring, I got it. Then I realize that the late show (9:30) at HDDR is 20% off with the DDE card. So, I call them and ask. I'm told that they can't do anything at that point because it is '05 and they can't say for sure if that particualar discount will be offered in '06. But, they were very helpful, even talked to a superivisor at Disney Dining...he suggested I try calling once we get into '06. Now, to add insult to injury...I have closed down the particular credit card I used to pay for the seats. Then, the new DDP comes out! So, I'm crazed, trying to figure out which way to eat is going to be best for the four of us...2 moms, 2 dd's celebrating their 13th b-days. I just got off the phone with DD and they have applied a $40 credit to my cc!!! So incredibly nice and helpful!! Obviously I'll be renewing my DDE card this spring...I just saved 2/3 of my cost of renewal!!!
They did tell me to be sure to bring my DDE card with me though. Just thought you guys might be interested in my HDDR/DDE saga....turned out great.

Not until June. I'm hoping that by that time, they'll get all the bugs worked out on all of this!
