Just a question about the DDE....Can you use it when booking character breakfasts at the participating restaurants? Do I need to have the card when I book or just when I arrive at the restaurant and pay?

You only need to have the card when you pay. I never even mention I am using DDE when I book my ps'.

As said you only need the card when you pay. Remember you must pay for show/dinners at time of booking so be sure to mention you have DDE when you book.

SOOO, is the DDE card good at all character meals?

How about with the Fantasmic dining package or Candlelight Processional package?

It is good at all character meals.

Officially it can not be used for Fantasmic or Candlelight Processional packages but the prevailing feeling seems to be that you should mention DDE to your server at the restaurant after you have been seated just in case. Don't expect to get the discount but you may get a pleasant surprise.

the guy at Hollywood and VIne that waited on us took our card and we got 17 dollars off our meals. We did not know that it was not supposed to be used for the Fantasmic Pkg.....but they did anyways.

It sounds like that we should take our chances and see if we get that discount at the Fantasmic pkg restaurants.

Am I correct when I read that there are NO counter service restaurants available for the DDE?

It is just ridiculous that you have to go to late dinner shows to get the discount as per something I read...Is this true?!
