DDE Card Changes?

Well, I just received my DDE card in the mail today (originally ordered it the first week of January) and was surprised by two things:

On the bright side, even though my confirmation letter said it would expire 1/31/06, the card says 2/28/06.

On the other side, I had thought that the terms of the card were that it was good for up to 10 people per meal, but in reading the paper that came with it, it clearly in bold stated up to 6 people. Bummer since we're travelling in a group of 8 in May and had thought that all of our meals would be discounted. We'll still get our moneys worth (actually already have since we recouped the $50 plus some during our January trip), but I guess I was just surpised cause I could swear that I've read here plenty of times that it was good for up to 10. No big deal really cause I know that offers like this are subject to change.

Does anyone else remember that, or am I just losing it?

If you'll notice, the card itself still says you must show a FL drivers license. They are using up their older stock of form letters and cards. The website states 10 people.

Thanks! I was just about to go to the website but you beat me to it! At least I did remember it correctly.

That is weird. I finally recieved mine today too. My letter says it is good for me and up to nine people. Go figure! I am just glad to get it in time for our trip. :)

Whew! I got mine today and I thought it was good for up to 10 people too until I saw it said only up to 6 people.

I did notice that the paperwork said "revised January 2004" and it also mentioned the Florida driver's license.

Thanks! :teeth:

Chuck, do you think that non FL AP holders should get something from DDE via email (etc) attesting to the 10 and non FL license issues?, Just curious about your thoughts.

I just made some PS today for our group fo 10 (2 are babies). Many of the times we could not get a table for 10 and had to get 2 tables. I had her check to be sure we could put it all on one check so we still could use DDE and the CM checked. She also confirmed it was for up to 10 people (and the 2 tables should be fine.)

I ordred mine early Jan too so I am hoping we get it before we leave next Friday. :flower:

Mine says revised January 2005 and has in bold print and underlined UP TO 9 PEOPLE. So who knows but it alo says keep this list for future references.

I doubt that is necessary. We all had to call personally to order the cards, and they were aware we were not FL residents at that time, plus we all knew the program was originally for FL residents. The 10 limit is stated on the website. Plus, according to recent post, they are now issuing updated info packs with the cards revised Jan 2005. I received my card about 2 weeks ago, and it had a 2004 info slip, which did state FL Resident and 6 person limit. My guess is that the processing center used up a pack of 2004 sheets before opening a 2005 package. And the cards...well, it is understandable that they are using up stock...or maybe they had to wait on some new ones to be made. I rather have an "old card" than wait a few more weeks for delivery of new card blanks.

We received our cards in the mail today. I ordered them in early January.
I was surprised to see they don't expire till 3/31/06.

I just got back and used my DDE card a lot! We were able to use it for up to 10 people. And they were even able to put it on two separate checks. Very accomadating!

That is wonderful. I hope we get them in the mail soon. With my luck they will be here waiting for me when we get back! (oh well we have the email at least.)
