LOL - Actually, it may be easier to do a color coded spreadsheet than to flip through the AP sleeve, then the DDE list and then the DVC Pocket Perksathenna said:Thanks so much, Chuck. That helps. I thought I was going to have to draw myself up a chart to keep all the info straight!![]()
I understand that. My point was that since they didn't check FL residence status when you use the card (at least they didn't, they could have changed in the last couple of years), I doubt they will care about your AP. Remember the only AP perk is getting the card, not using it. Heck, once you have the card, I'm sure your AP could expire in a month and they would not care. Regardless, requiring your DL, which you would normally carry anyway, is much different than requiring your AP which you may not even be using if you're not in the park. I was thinking of getting an AP and not activating it till next year but going ahead and getting the DDE at the discounted rate. Worst case scenario is I have to show my FL ID.Terry S said:Dean, the question on everyones mind though is, since this is an AP perk, will you have to show a current activiated pass in order to use it?

Chuck S said:Cruise-o-matic, I would call in early December, explain your situation, and ask them to fax or email a confirmation letter. That shoudl let you use it in Dec 05, then you should have you cards for your June 06 trip. And if the pattern holds true, it would expire 12/31/06.
A few yeas ago they would deliver temp cards to the DD guest services but they no longer will do this.tjkraz said:I agree with Chuck. Based upon everything I've read, you can ask them to fax temporary documentation for use until you receive the permanent card.
Also bear in mind that the current 6-8 week turnaround is a result of demand for a perk that was just announced a week ago. I believe it is normaly 1-2 weeks for delivery, and I'm sure it will be more within that timeframe by the time December rolls around.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-ap.htm
While it says 20% at over 70 restaurants...it then throws in several paragraphs about particular restaurants and only 10% for up to 4 guests at certain places.
Is that really the case? Because as a DVC member, we get those discounts anyway so now I'm wondering if it's really worth the extra $50 if I'm already getting discounts in dining with through my DVC membership.
Did you need to show any ID or a current AP? Just curious, it wont affect me either way, as I'm going to renew my AP anyway, and I always carry ID at Disney in case the scanners are offline, but there have been questions on the boards.TammyNC said:We called on Thursday before leaving on Friday at 2am to come down to WDW. When I explained the situation, they emailed us a confirmation letter that we have been using since we didn't have the card. We paid $50 and we are a family of four. We have used it at Boma, Flametree BBQ and Trails End Buffet and already saved almost $35.00. So before we leave next Saturday, I'm sure it will have well paid for itself, plus we'll get to use it again in December for our 2 week trip.

We have 4 annual passes already - but do you have to get a DDE card for each person dining, or is the discount for the people dining with you at the table?
You will get two cards with a spouse.DebbieB said:1 card is good for up to 10 people on the same check.
