DDE at holidays ???'s

I have heard there are some exclusions from using DDE during holidays. But I have heard conflicting info from CM's regarding when these exclusions are. Have heard it is only on the holidays exactly, Christmas, New Years and then another CM said it couldn't be used from Dec 16th-Jan 2nd.

What have you heard? Who knows the truth?

The blackout dates for the DDE are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The DDE can be used the rest of the days.

the 2nd CM that you spoke with probably confused the holiday pricing with DDE blackout dates. i believe that the 12/16 - 1/2 date range refers to the time period when many of the TS restaurants on property will increase their prices for the holidays.

The full list is: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Mothers Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day.

Unless everything has changed, it's good every day of the year other than these 8 blackout dates.

December 16-January 5 are the dates of "holiday pricing" on buffets/preplated meals (does not apply to other TS restaurants except perhaps on Christmas or New Years Eve/Day).

(For 2008: Easter = March 23; Mothers Day = May 11; Thanksgiving Day = November 27)

and can you use the DDE card at food courts in your resorts? Like on Mothers day or some of the other days that you cant use at TS restaurants

Not sure what you're asking. DDE can be used for a discount on alcoholic beverages at participating TS restaurants or at lounges in the parks or resorts (It is not good at Pleasure Island clubs, or at kiosks or counter service locations in the parks with the current exception of Animal Kingdom - the AK thing may change). You can use the DDE card at any of these locations for alcoholic beverages any day EXCEPT the 8 blackout days listed by DDE.

The DDE card can't be used at food courts in resorts EXCEPT FOR: the three All-Stars, Pop Century, and Port Orleans-French Quarter. Why these? Because these resorts don't have a full service restaurant.

Even at these food courts, DDE can't be used on the listed blackout dates.
