DDE and Annual Pass Voucher

Sorry, I believe this question may have already been asked but I'm still not sure of the answer. I don't have my next trip planned until May. If I purchase my annual pass thru DVC and receive a voucher, will that be adequate to purchase the DDE or do I need to have the actual pass in hand? I would like to purchase both and have everything straightened out before I arrive if possible.

Think you can with a voucher, but i'd like to know for sure also I know alot of people did, but maybe that was before they started cracking down. A brief check of my vouchers didn't reveal any distinct codes. Anyone know what they use and where on the voucher it is?

If the vouchers are the same as AP vouchers they have been in the past, there is no number on the voucher themselves. Instead look on the paper it is attached to for an order #.

Thanks BCV that would make sense, i remember seeing a number but had it stuck in my head it was on the voucher card.

JuJu, that should answer your question also. As long as you have the Vouchers and Letter you should be all set. From what i have read it is a problem if you have nothing in hand and pick them up at will call now that they are checking.

We just got our DVC AP voucher and order our DDE cards last week. The voucher does have a number printed on the back -- it's not on the paper, but on the green card attached to it. That's the number the DDE folks need and it's really a very simple process.

We are travelling to WDW in September but there is a possibility we may transfer our ressies to May (if work schedules permit). So I was thinking of buying our APs soon so I can order the DDE card and hopefully have it before our trip.

Is it best to order the AP through the DVC website or on the phone?

I live in England, will they still send me a voucher via mail? An email 'will call' confirmation might not be adequate to purchase the DDE.

How long are the actual DDE cards taking to arrive?

I ordered my AP online, had my vouchers in about 2 weeks. If you are thinking about May i would think you would want to order these now. I would check if they will mail you vouchers to England though because you will need these to order DDE, as i understand no will call.

If it doesn't work out to order in advance, you can call Dining when you get to WDW and order the DDE then. Dining will fax you a DDE confirmation letter at your resort (or you can do it at DD). You can use the fax in lieu of the cards for your trip. The actual cards will be mailed to you.

I plan to do it that way because I want to use the DDE card for two trips that are 51 weeks apart. I think the DDE card will expire too soon if I order it far enough in advance to get it in the mail before our next trip.

I just looked on the DVC website regarding buying the PAPS. It says international shipping is $10. Will that be the voucher or the actual PAPS? It only seems to recommend will call if you are travelling very soon.

Can I order from MS over the phone? Might be easier.....
