DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Is it only Tuesday afternoon? I've discharged more people today and yesterday than the past 2 weeks.

Afternoon Dads. About all I got other than we are 80 days away from a scheduled WDW trip to celebrate DS college graduation and just generally get away at our home away from home. Stay safe and you Canadians keep that door shut we had enough down here.
Bacon, bourbon, cigars and mickey bars!

You going back to the Boardwalk? I was hoping to try GF in December, but new job leave policy is no approvals prior to 4 months out. Don't want to borrow the points.

But we love to share! It's called "being neighbourly".
Sorry Mike ....the door was damaged in a storm, have a new one on order.Should be installed in a few weeks.
That too.

You might want to get that discharge checked.

Morning, Gents! Can't believe it's only Wednesday...just doesn't feel like it. I was really annoyed yesterday at work. There are some documents I can't work on, prescription refills are one of them, and that's what kept popping up for me to work on yesterday. Since I can't work on them, I simply close that document out and move to the next one. The problem was that's all I kept coming across yesterday. So instead of having indexed over 100 documents yesterday, I was lucky to have gotten 50...so annoyed. Let's hope things go better today. I talked to my contact at the staffing company that I'm working for, and the HR person at the hospital told them they are really pleased with me and my work, and that I have about 2 weeks left on this contract. After this, they have a Floating Receptionist position available if I'm interested. I of course said yes. Even though this is a receptionist position, I'd be happy to take it because it'll allow me to continue to work in EPIC, their medical records program, and get to know a lot more people. My thought is that 1) this could lead to a full-time, which I'm still holding out hope for, 2) because I'd be working in a different portion of EPIC, it could lead to other positions, Discharge, Registration etc. I tend to be a quick learner and have a good work ethic and will hopefully use those to curry favor with my new department. I have yet to hear back on when I'll be interviewed, so keep your fingers crossed for me. Well, that's all I've got, have a good day, Gents!

Busy week?

That's quite alright, you don't have to share everything. Keep some of it, ok?

You might want to get that discharge checked.

Morning folks.
May be Wednesday to you, but it’s my Thursday. Friday in 18 hours.

Good luck with that. I agree that the more you make yourself available, the more likely that you’ll be given a position. But no guarantees of course. Still... your odds go up.

Well then, Happy Thursday!

Of course, no guarantees, but at least I am being seen by a lot of people by taking on different jobs. Someone, at some point, will take pity on me (flashes my baby blues in the most innocent way possible)

So, KY weather went from 4 degrees to 64 degrees in less than a week. I guess that's what makes the bourbon taste so good.

You might want to get that discharge checked.

Discharge you! :scared1: :lmao:

You think all these smart people at the hospital would have smartened up already. Who would let a cancelled nut work directly with patients?

Hope you can get the interview and the next job. I continue to be amazed at the amount of information EPIC. Then, there are also the limitations. Or perhaps, there aren't limitations, but no one has enough time to learn or get EPIC to do what they want.

Busy week?

And I'm only covering 15 patients, which supposedly is 1/2 the floor, and 1/2 the normal amount. I'm doing the work, and they are reminding me if I miss something. My boss said that those training me have said I've picked it up quickly. She also said that they told her I ask a bunch of questions, which is good, and they can see I'm trying to learn it. However, when things have to move quickly, sometimes they don't let me figure it out and just tell me what to do. Still, I don't know how I can double my pace.

Gentlemen,
Well all that cold and snow has now turned in mud and run off. Been working on leveling a pad for my new shop. Been reading everyone’s updates just haven’t posted myself. Hope everyone is having a great week!
